As a self-professed type nerd these pieces were a bit of a passion project. My goal overall was to capture the time and/or environment these fonts are most famous for being utilized in.

HELVETICA is laid out in a minimal grid pattern

reminiscent of the Swiss Style.

BODONI was a common manuscript typeface.

FUTURA mimics the style of artist Barbara Krueger.

GARAMOND is laid out like a type setter’s drawer.
