In 2019, I created Jedi vs. Sith, a daily illustration project counting down to the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Beginning with Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi from The Phantom Menace, each day featured a new minimal illustrated bust of a Jedi or Sith in chronological order through Episode IX. The series became both a creative challenge and a celebration of character design, focusing on capturing each figure’s essence through simplified shapes, limited color palettes, and consistent composition. This project strengthened my visual discipline and time management skills while combining my love of illustration with fandom culture.
